Laser Hair Removal with The Alma Soprano Titanium

Laser Hair Removal is an extremely popular treatment for the permanent reduction / removal of dark hair on all areas of the face and body. The treatment is effective for all skin types, including tanned skin. It is not suitable for fair or grey hair however, because the laser energy needs to target the pigment (melanin) in hair in order to work effectively. The Soprano Titanium’s exclusive 3D technology combines three of the most effective laser wavelengths into a single 4cm2 spot size applicator. This exclusive design allows the laser energy to travel harmlessly through the skin until it strikes the hair follicle, here the energy is delivered to different tissue depths targeting the anatomical structures within the hair follicle. Combining the absorption and penetration levels of different wavelengths, the Soprano ICE PLUS™ continuous contact cooling system and the In-Motion treatment delivery technique for increased comfort and a virtually pain-free experience, makes the Soprano Tit...

Electrolysis Hair Removal Treatment

Electrolysis is the only proven method of permanent hair removal , and can be an effective alternative for men or women who are not suitable candidates for laser treatments. It is a safe procedure, usually requiring several treatments, and is usually recommended for small areas of unwanted hair, since each hair follicle is treated individually. Electrolysis refers to the production of heat by a high-frequency electric current to remove individual, fine, light hairs that are not suitable for laser therapy The tip of a very fine metal probe is inserted into a hair follicle and an electric current is discharged from it, producing heat in the immediate area. The heat causes localized damage, destroying the living cells of the surrounding tissue, including the hair root, preventing the follicle from ever producing hair again. Electrolysis is a very safe technique; however, although it is a quick procedure, it can be uncomfortable for some. The area treated may be sore immediately afterward...

What is iPixel Treatment ?

iPixel Laser is the latest generation of Fraxel Erbium Yag laser. It is an advanced laser skin resurfacing treatment for refining the appearance of the skin on the face, neck, decolletage and hands. It can also be used to improve scarring and stretch marks on areas of the body. This state-of-the-art technology is superior to previous resurfacing laser techniques. Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing this new generation of iPixel laser is much less aggressive on the skin surface, thus minimizing redness and downtime. The depth at which the ablative element of the iPixel penetrates the skin, creates heat deep within the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing response. In turn this stimulates the growth of new healthy skin tissue, including the production of new collagen, to deliver a smoother, firmer and more even skin texture. If you are looking to achieve a healthy, more youthful skin and improve the many signs of skin ageing – including brightening dull skin, increasing ...

cellulite treatment berkshire

EMTONE is a first-of-its-kind, non-invasive treatment, to effectively treat the root causes of all grades and types of cellulite in women, including hard, soft and mixed cellulite. It is a CE-Medical / FDA approved treatment that delivers fast and long-lasting results by addressing and treating the five causes of cellulite – not just the symptoms. It is a walk-in/walk-out, no downtime treatment and is suitable for all skin and body types (without BMI limitations). After a  treatment program the appearance of cellulite is reduced and skin laxity is improved with a noticeable increase in skin firmness. The EMTONE cellulite uses a combination of thermal monopolar radiofrequency and mechanically targeted pressure energy to diminish fat chambers. Increased blood flow stimulates metabolic waste removal from the treatment area. Connective tissue is also stimulated during the treatment process – increasing and remodelling collagen and elastin fiber. This helps to restore skin elasticity a...

ClearLift 4D Laser Facelift

The ClearLift 4D treatment is designed to achieve a deep mechanical effect by using light energy and sound waves to focus energy beneath the epidermis. This creates a wound deep in the dermis, whilst leaving the epidermis intact. Old collagen, pigmented lesions and broken capillaries in the dermis are broken down and resorbed by the body’s immune system, while the wound healing process, undetectable to the naked eye, stimulates growth of new collagen, as well as contracting and tightening the skin tissue. ClearLift 4D Laser supersedes the original ClearLift Laser by allowing the target depth to be variable: a more superficial treatment is used for the thinner, more delicate areas of the skin and for treating fine lines, skin tone and laxity, while the deeper tips target wrinkles, dermal pigment and thicker skin. Typically, a course of four – six treatments is recommended, at fortnightly intervals. Thereafter a programme of one treatment every four to six months will maintain the benefi...

Collagen Induction Therapy

Thousands of precise microscopic perforations are painlessly made through the skin surface to the basal layer, activating production of new collagen and elastin to repair them. Active ingredients are then driven into the microscopic channels where they are utilized as nourishment for the cells, to promote healing and to further promote production of collagen. Skin becomes firmer and more elastic with a noticeably rejuvenated appearance due to the fading of fine lines and wrinkles, pore refinement, and stimulated blood flow. The face, neck and décolletage can be rejuvenated in this way, and scars (such as acne scars) and individual deep wrinkles can also be treated by varying the modules and active ingredients used. Your practitioner will advise and discuss this with you as part of your treatment programme at the time of consultation. Collagen and Skin Remodelling is completely safe and virtually painless, and has no downtime apart from mild redness for approximately two hours after tre...

The Fibroblast Plasma Lift (FPL)

Fibroblast Plasma Lift : The superior anti-ageing alternative to cosmetic injections & surgery. This is a safe and highly effective treatment for the following conditions: Full or partial facelift Eyebrow lift Eye-bag reduction (upper and lower) “Crows’ feet” and “Smokers’ lines” Nasolabial fold smoothing Jawline redefinition Neck tightening and lifting Arm tightening Non-surgical abdominoplasty The tip of a high-precision hand-held pen is used to transmit energy into the skin, causing the epidermis to contract and tighten immediately whilst encouraging the generation of fresh new stem cells. Energy is also transferred to the deeper dermis of the skin, where collagen-making cells, fibroblasts, are stimulated to divide, thereby initiating increased collagen production which strengthens the skin, reducing lines and wrinkles. Tissue regeneration and repair also occur by stimulating an immune system response, and new blood vessels are encouraged to form, facilitating better nutrient s...

Types of hair removal methods

To suit your individual needs, the appropriate method of hair removal will be determined by one of our expert practitioners during a face-to-face consultation. On occasion, clients may benefit from a combination hair removal program which may include any of the following hair removal treatment options: Laser Hair Removal – Using state-of-the-art laser technology the Soprano Titanium Ice pain-free laser hair removal treatment permanently reduces/removes unwanted hair from anywhere on the face and body in just minutes. The treatment works by delivering three combined wavelengths of light energy which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles that produce hair resulting in permanent hair removal / reduction. Alkaline Wash  – The Alkaline Wash system is a treatment designed to reduce fine, downy hair on the face, neck, arms and thighs. Alkaline Wash is an Alkaline powder which is mixed into a paste and applied to the...

Non-invasive laser treatment

NIR is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to stimulate collagen production and tighten lax skin, and is very effective when used to treat the signs of ageing on the lower face, jawline and neck, usually in conjunction with Laser Lift. It can also be used on the body, such as the stomach, cellulite areas, backs of arms and inner thighs, but is not suitable for treatment around the eyes or forehead, or for sensitive skin. Light near the infrared spectrum is used to briefly elevate the temperature of the skin, deeply penetrating it. This produces microscopic thermal injury to the tissues in the dermis, which contracts existing elastin fibres, and stimulates the formation of new, thicker, uniformly aligned collagen. Typically, a course of six treatments is recommended, at fortnightly intervals. Thereafter a programme of one treatment every four months will maintain the benefits. There may be some variation in your prescribed treatment plan, depending on the severity of your condition....

What is Acne?

Acne occurs most frequently at puberty, when the sebaceous glands and keratinocytes are stimulated by pubertal hormones to increase the rate of production of sebum and keratin respectively. The excess keratin cells can then quickly block the pores of the sebaceous glands, trapping the sebum below, which then solidifies. This creates an ideal breeding environment for bacteria which normally live harmlessly on the skin, especially the bacteria associated with acne, called Propionibacterium acnes (or P. acnes). This bacterium thrives in the anaerobic environment generated by the clogged pore, and by feeding off sebum. The metabolic by-products of P. acnes inflame and destroy the wall of the hair follicles, allowing the inflammation to spread deeper into the tissues, causing infected spots which either erupt onto the skin or form painful cysts trapped below the surface. Acne also occurs in adulthood, often due to imbalances in the androgen hormones, especially testosterone and DHEA, or fro...

Laser treatment is safer than ever for Black skin – here's what you need to know before booking a session

Laser treatment is safer than ever for blacks - here's what you need to know before booking a session Twenty years ago, laser treatment for darker skin tones was almost a taboo, but advances in technology have made this service more accessible to women of color. In the world of skincare, lasers are the ultimate tool we can use to truly optimize skin health: from stimulating collagen to fading excess melanin for a more even skin tone to reducing unwanted hair. Lasers basically work on the principle of a beam of light detecting darker freckles or hairs on light-colored surfaces - something that is quite difficult to do in the daytime with dark spots or hairs on dark surfaces, as in the case of black leather. . This meant the technology was too risky and out of reach for black women because the chances of burns and scars were quite high. Fast forward to 2022 and lasers are a common tool in the skin care industry, but in my experience, a large number of black women are still unsure wh...

Laser Tattoo Removal

High-power lasers with two different wavelengths are used to treat light and dark pigments in tattoos. The mechanical action of the laser works through vibration and fragmentation of the ink particles in the tattoo. As the area heals, the immune system clears the damaged ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade with minimal risk of scarring or removing the skin's natural pigment. At least four treatments spaced two months apart are usually required, but additional Laser Tattoo Removal treatments may be required. For example, dense pigment or large tattoos may require long-term treatment spanning several years. Immediately after treatment, the skin bleeds, followed by blistering, swelling, and bruising. This is normal and to be expected, but as such the aftercare instructions detailed in the aftercare documents must be strictly followed. Clients undergoing this Laser Tattoo Removal treatment should be aware of the fact that most tattoos can fade effectively, complete removal is n...

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL is a skin rejuvenation treatment , similar to laser therapy, and is sometimes referred to as photo-rejuvenation. It reduces the appearance of superficial pigmented lesions, such as sun spots, and superficial vascular lesions, such as broken capillaries, on the surface of the skin, whilst improving skin texture through collagen stimulation and reduction of pore size. It is commonly used on the face, neck, chest and hands. After a short treatment programme, muscles are more toned with an average increase in muscle mass of up to 16%. Patient satisfaction following the Emsculpt treatment is 96%. A handpiece is used to deliver an intense pulse of broad-spectrum visible light waves, with filters being used to block any harmful UV rays. The light beam passes through the skin and is absorbed by either haemoglobin in small blood capillaries, or melanin in pigmented lesions, which then get fragmented. The pigment particles are then absorbed by the immune system. IPL also exerts a gentle stim...

Laser skin care

Asking a dermatologist about their favorite laser is like asking a parent which child they love the most. What's a good reason to love this laser? The laser comes with an amazing set of tips that I use to perform rejuvenating treatments. including fast and effective treatment for benign pigmented lesions as well as all types of scars including acne scars. The very unique 1064 nm fractionating tip allowed me to selectively control the depth and volume of LIOB generated in the network by adjusting the depth sector and energy level of the tip. With this control, I can contour my face and reduce pigment spots - all in one treatment in a skin care laser clinic . We also went beyond facial and body treatments with positive initial results. What can the patient expect during treatment? It is highly treatment-dependent based on wavelength, fluence, etc but is generally very well tolerated. Given the controllable picosecond pulse, the laser produces a significant photoacoustic effect with m...
